Bush and Kerry in Portland
Bush and Kerry were both in Portland yesterday, Bush to speak to a screened group of business people and Kerry to address 30,000 people in River Front Park. I watched Bush on the local television station and found that his approach to campaigning by talking to individuals about their businesses was very compelling and made him appear to be concerned and a hands-on problem solver. From the description I heard of the Kerry rally, Theresa turned the mood of the overheated crowd from excited to agitated, by droning on for fifteen minutes about herself. I think Kerry's wife could turn out to be the worst thing going for their campaign and potentially hurt him over the next few months.
